A tripartite relationship of trust and respect
Our main goal at Flangar is to provide a safe and secure platform that connects Creators to Backers. Our mission is to help Creators bring their creative projects to life and also help Backers find and support projects that align with their interests and values. We work diligently everyday to ensure that Flangar remains a safe and reliable online community both for Creators and Backers who generously donate to support creative projects.
To develop and maintain a good tripartite relationship between Flangar, Creators and Backers, trust is highly required. It is important that Backers can trust in Flangar and Creators and vice versa. This trust is the foundation upon which Flangar is able to provide tools that connect Creators to Backers. To ensure that this trust is not harmed, we have defined the kind of transparency expected on the Platform.
We have an enduring responsibility to provide a safe, secure and reliable platform for all our users. In keeping with that responsibility, we have developed systems and procedures to monitor and ensure user compliance with our Terms of Service and all platform rules including Community Guidelines.
To ensure strict adherence and compliance to our Terms, we take multiple actions, including restricting user access to the Platform when we identify infringing users or projects. We are hard on fraudulent and scamming activities, so we partner with reliable third-party companies for identity verification and to track money laundering activities on and through our Platform.
Safety and trust is our core concern, so we encourage transparency between Creators, Backers and Flangar.
Your decision to use Flangar to fund-raise for your creative projects means you have accepted Flangar’s Terms of Service. As a creator, you have an enduring responsibility to comply with all laws and guidelines relating to your use of the Platform. Creators have the responsibility to use donations received to bring projects to life and deliver on rewards promised to Backers when applicable.
Some projects on Flangar do not promise rewards. For such projects, creators are not bound by the Reward Fulfillment Agreement. For projects that promise rewards, creators have the responsibility to comply with the Reward Fulfillment Agreement which demands that creators do the following:
- Use funds for the projects you advertised. That is, if you raise funds for a music album production, use the donations for the music album production.
- Make a high standard of effort to deliver promised rewards to backers.
- Provide backers with a full refund when you are unable to deliver promised rewards.
- In cases where for reasons beyond a creator’s control a project is unsuccessful, creators owe to backers a prompt explanation of the challenges, detailing why rewards can’t be fulfilled and a clear explanation of the way forward.
- Communications with backers should be transparent and honest through out the project duration.
We know that they could be setbacks that will affect the success of a project. That is why we encourage creators to consistently update backers on the progress of backed projects. Trust is the breathe to your funding journey on Flangar as a creator, so create it and protect it with all you’ve got.
Backers make generous donations to help bring creative projects on Flangar to life. Backers are encouraged to support projects, however, it their responsibility to make their own giving decisions. Backers have the enduring responsibility to do due diligence before making a donation to a project or campaign.
Flangar presents backers with the opportunity to support art related projects that resonate with their interests or values. Some of these projects may be events, career support projects, causes for social good or creative products that are yet to be produced. To ensure that donations are made with the right understanding of a project, backers have the responsibility to investigate projects and creators for social proof before making a donation. Backers must communicate with creators in a respectful way for the fulfillment of rewards.
Additionally, backers have the responsibility to report site violations including any possible fraudulent projects or abusive content or behavior.
