The Werdam Professionals Band was and is an extraordinary all-blind band with a mission to showcase the incredible talents of persons with disabilities and instill hope in the hearts of those facing challenges. Our journey began with the support of the German non-profit organization, Christofel Blindenmission, which enabled us to spread our musical message of acceptance and empowerment across Ghana and neighboring West African countries.

For 4 to 6 years, we passionately played our music until tragedy struck. A fatal accident on the Sefwi road took away not only our instruments but also our ability to work. Over the past 30 years, we’ve struggled to make ends meet, relying on rented equipment for occasional gigs. Unfortunately, rising rental costs and clients’ inability to cover our fees have left us unable to sustain ourselves and our families.

What We Need

Today, we humbly appeal to your kindness and generosity. We are seeking financial support to raise GHS100,000, which will allow us to purchase essential musical equipment—a set of drums, two digital keyboards, a public address system, and guitars. By acquiring these instruments, we aim to eliminate the burden of rental costs, enabling us to focus on our craft, support our friends in need, particularly those in the school of the blind, and provide for our families.
